Their title tracks especially those by Brave Brothers don't showcase their talents. There's plenty of idols out there that do that now. Fans don't really care if you compose and write lyrics. We know a majority of the members play instruments. Their title tracks lack in that special something What's it matter if they're talented, nobody knowsĥ. They're going to gravitate to the BTS/VIXXs of the world who have more of a complete package of looks and talent. Some of most talented idols out there vocally but you're catering to predominantly female teens here. Of course they have Sungjae and Minhyuk but there's also Eunkwang and Changsub. K-Pop has as much to do with looks as it does talent. They lack in visuals Its harsh but BTOB is definitely similar to U-KISS in this regard. I think there's something to be said with how well Beast and A Pink have done over the years keeping for the most part a consistent concept. Its just a recycled concept that fans have heard before with numerous girl groups in 4Minute's case and Teen Top with BTOB.

While B.A.P/VIXX were pulling a 2011 Beast/2012 Infinite, BTOB didn't come back for five months. Their hiatus was too long after their debut I think this really hurt their initial growth. There's logic behind all these reasons actually.ġ. Well you see there's this guy called lee minhyuk. They lack visually - visual is undeniably important for idols ilhoon and minhyuk are two of my favourite idol rappers too (as in, in terms of their rapping, not idols I like most that happen to be rappers)ģ. Honestly, they're probably one of the best male groups vocally (again, sans peniel LOL), they have 5 stable vocalists and even ilhoon isn't bad at singing.

Their 2012 title tracks were amazing, insane is one of my all time favourite kpop songs (so is imagine and that wasn't even a title track) and irresistable lips and wow are such good songs. Ugh they're such a talented group (sans peniel LOL) but their title tracks since thriller have been so meh and it saddens me cos they could - no, SHOULD - be semi-popular by now if the company would stop screwing them over
